3. What cookies do we use?

Essential hosting cookies support security and access. A hosting response sets Cloudflare’s __cf_bm bot-protection cookie, with a 30-minute lifetime. Private preview access may also require authentication cookies. These are separate from optional analytics.

Only after you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 measures visits, pages viewed and engagement time. Google processes technical and usage information, including browser/device information and cookie identifiers. We do not send enquiry names, email addresses or message contents to Analytics. Advertising consent remains disabled.

Analytics cookies _ga and _ga_5CH1W1XGL9 distinguish visitors and retain session state. Our integration limits their lifetime to 180 days without refreshing their expiry on each visit. The browser may shorten this lifetime. Your acceptance or rejection is stored in local browser storage under merakajoy-consent-v1 for 180 days.

5. Your cookie choices

Accept enables optional analytics. Reject leaves it off. You can change your choice through Cookie preferences in the footer. Taking no action, scrolling or continuing to browse does not enable analytics. The website and enquiry forms work without analytics consent.

6. Changing your preferences

Use Cookie preferences in the footer to change or withdraw your choice at any time. Withdrawing analytics consent stops future measurement, clears accessible Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page. It does not automatically erase information already processed by Google. You can also review or delete cookies through browser settings.

Consent records

When you explicitly accept, reject or save your preferences, we store the analytics choice, server receipt time, notice version and a random receipt identifier and a browser consent identifier in our website database for 180 days. These records support review of consent choices and decision totals. They contain no names, email addresses, IP addresses or browsing history and are not linked to enquiries or Google Analytics. A random browser consent identifier is stored with the local preference, reused when that browser changes its choice, and renewed after the preference expires or browser storage is cleared. It is used only for consent administration. Changed choices create history records; current totals count the latest recorded preference for each browser identifier, not unique people. Existing choices are not logged retrospectively. Older records are removed on the next consent submission or report access. Hosting security logs are separate.
